Gucci

Gucci was established in 1921 by Guccio Gucci as an Italian fashion name and is currently one of the oldest Italian fashion companies. Like many ancient design businesses, it began providing luxury travel products for the affluent high classes of Italy and horse equipment as a bag maker.  Alessandro Michele, who was formerly at Fendi until he was recruited by Tom Ford in 2002, is the current creative designer for Gucci. Before taking on creative leadership for Gucci, Michele held a variety of management jobs and worked as Leather Goods design manager of this company (Frida Giannini at the time).
